| TV stands and Good Posture |

We have all had it done to us. We all find it annoying. We have probably restated the same thing after the age of twenty five. What is it? It is our mothers asking us to hold our shoulder back and not slouch. According to doctors you really should try to keep good posture. It will keep you from having back and neck problems. Let’s face it, most of us sit in our comfy recliner in the evenings watching our favorite television shows. However, if you have to constantly look up or down, or even to the side, it is probably causing you to hurt your neck or back over time. You should find a TV stand that will work for your situation. In my living room, I sit in a normal size chair that faces the TV. Since I have a relatively small living room, I wanted to find one that was exactly the right height for my TV. I did not want to find one too short where I felt as though the TV was sitting on the floor and forcing me to constantly look down. On the same token, I knew I did not need a wall-mounted TV stand where when hung at a reasonable height I would probably be looking up. Height should be considered when purchasing a TV stand. Do not worry though; I am certainly not bashing a good wall-mounted TV stand. In fact, I have one for my bedroom. For the same purpose, I am typically laying in bed, sometimes with a couple of pillows behind my head. One that was physically level with my body would not work. I would have to contort my neck to a degree that would be extremely uncomfortable. Instead, a wall-mounted TV stand allowed me to hang the TV a bit higher and level with my eye sight. Not only this, but as my bedroom is often a playroom for my kids, it keeps the TV out of the way and off of dressers where I had it previously. You should simply take your comfort into account when trying to find a TV stand. I have seen too many people make the mistake of purchasing one for its style rather than its functionality. Fortunately for you, there are plenty that work wonderfully that are both functional and stylish |
