Breathtaking Victorian Tassel Bedroom Set

BREATHTAKING VICTORIAN RENAISSANCE REVIVAL WALNUT and BURL WALNUT TASSEL BEDROOM SET with HIDDEN COMPARTMENT Attributed to the fine workshop of Allen & Brother, Philadelpha, circa 1870's A Rare find for the discriminating buyer ! The unbelievable quality, design, workmanship, and application of details displayed on this creation are truly amazing!   There are carved & gold incised tassels galore!  A celebration of 50 Tassels of varying sizes and proportions adorns this impressive bedroom set. Both the bed and dresser display an identical gold-incised bonnet cartouche sitting atop an arched crest, each bonnet protruding out from the crest while supporting a huge, free-hanging carved and gold-incised tassel finial.  Each bonnet top has a double string of carved tassels flowing down as if suspended in midair.  Another additional string of carved Tassels flow down each side of the bed and dresser crests. The headboard also has four sets of double Tassels draping its super structure, as well as a pair of ornately carved Tassels finials.  The footboard features hanging tassels and swags of tassels as well.  A hidden compartment is found below the arch of the footboard, a jewelry casket, and the dresser has a hidden drawer at it base.
