Vintage Industrial Tv Stand

This rustic piece is a beautiful TV console made of steel and some very interesting reclaimed vintage wood. This amazing wood comes from a salvaged barge that was destroyed as a result of last year's Japanese tsunami. The barge was built in 1968 and was anchored in Mission Bay (San Diego, CA). The tsunami traveled thousands of miles from Japan, hit the California
coast and caused the barge to break loose from its mooring. Luckily, this beautiful wood was reclaimed and is now being used to make custom furniture. The wood has one of the most beautiful patinas we have ever seen. The colors are incredibly varied with rich tones of red, green, turquoise white, brown and more. No two pieces are the same.
On a side note, we have a video of the barge being destroyed by the tidal surge and we would be happy to give it to you.
This particular one has already been delivered to the client, but we would love to make on for you.  The dimensions for the stand in this listing are (approximately) 14.5" D x 39 ½" W x 14" H. We can build in in any height, up to 20" at no extra charge – just pay the extra shipping. (Be sure to contact us regarding any changes prior to purchasing) This versatile piece can be used in any number of ways and could even be used as a sideboard, hutch, buffet or aquarium stand.

We make each piece custom for each person, so, if you would like we can make it a taller unit with multiple shelves, change the finish of the steel, we can also run the planks short-ways (meaning perpendicular to the wall). This option allows for more planks to be used and gives even more variation in the colors. There is no extra charge for this particular change, but the aforementioned changes do affect the price, so please inquire for the prices on changes.
